Cinema Admission Monitoring Dashboard for Movie Performance and Market Demand Analysis
This project focused on building an interactive cinema admission dashboard to monitor movie performance, compare tracked and estimated ticket sales, evaluate showtime allocation, and identify city-level and cinema-level demand patterns. The dashboard was designed as an analytical tool to support movie performance monitoring, market prioritization, and screening strategy evaluation.

Project Overview
This dashboard was developed as a visualization and analysis layer for cinema admission data. The main goal was to transform raw admission tracking data into an interactive dashboard that could help users compare movie performance, evaluate screening efficiency, and understand audience demand across cities and cinema locations.
Instead of only displaying total admissions, the dashboard was designed to connect multiple analytical dimensions: tracked ticket sales, estimated ticket sales, showtimes, occupancy rate, city performance, cinema performance, underperforming locations, and demand intensity indicators.

Business Problem
Movie admission performance can be difficult to evaluate when the data is spread across many titles, exhibitors, cities, cinemas, and show periods. A movie may receive a large number of showtimes but generate low admissions, while another movie may have fewer screenings but stronger audience demand in specific locations.
The challenge was to create a dashboard that could go beyond simple admission totals. The dashboard needed to help users understand whether movie performance was driven by strong demand, high showtime allocation, specific city performance, exhibitor contribution, or cinema-level behavior.
Key questions the dashboard needed to answer:
- Which movie titles generated the highest tracked and estimated admissions?
- Which movies received the highest number of showtimes?
- Which movies had stronger occupancy rate compared to their showtime allocation?
- Which cities and cinemas showed the strongest demand for each movie?
- Which cities or cinemas were underperforming despite having available showtimes?
- How did admission performance differ by show period and exhibitor?
- Which markets should be prioritized for screening strategy or further monitoring?

The dashboard was simplified into two main analytical pages. The first page focuses on comparing multiple movies at once, while the second page focuses on drilling down into the performance of one selected movie.

The comparison page was designed to help users evaluate multiple movie titles within the same selected date range or monitoring period. This page provides a high-level view of which movies were performing better, which titles received more showtimes, and how admissions were distributed across cities.
From an analytical perspective, this page helps compare movie performance using both demand-side indicators and supply-side indicators. Admission and estimated admission represent audience response, while showtimes represent screening allocation. By placing these metrics together, the dashboard helps identify whether high admissions were supported by high showtime allocation or whether a movie showed strong demand despite limited screenings.

The individual movie page was designed for deeper analysis of one selected movie title. This page helps users understand where a movie performed well, which cities and cinemas contributed the most admissions, which locations underperformed, and how audience demand was distributed across show periods and exhibitors.
From an analytical perspective, this page is useful for turning admission data into market-level insights. It does not only show how many tickets were sold, but also helps explain where the demand came from, whether the showtime allocation was efficient, and which cities or cinemas may need further evaluation.
